The Yamagata Cottage
A peaceful guest cottage tucked into the slopes of Hualalai on our 3.3-acre working avocado farm. Quiet and private, with a true farm-stay feel, while still about 12 minutes from major grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday conveniences.
The Space
Completed in 2020, the cottage was built with warm farmhouse details, vaulted open-beam ceilings, custom cabinetry, and hand-built furnishings. It sits on its own section of the farm with a separate driveway and private parking, giving guests a peaceful little slice of the property to themselves.
Guest Access
Guests are welcome to walk the property, visit the chickens, and take a peek at the garden. We live and work elsewhere on the farm and harvest avocados regularly, so you may see us around the property from time to time.
What Guests Love
Good to Know
This is a farm in Hawaii. Bugs, feral chickens, roosters, and friendly farm animals are part of life here. The cottage has screened windows and regular pest care, but guests should be comfortable with nature and animals.
